Building a Tudor House here at school
Years 3 and 4 had a fantastic day building Tudor Houses. During the day they learnt house building crafts like tiling, thatching and weaving wattle for the walls. They all had a go at bodging to make wooden pegs used to hold the frames together. They also worked together as a group to put the frame of a poor man’s house together. The highlight of the day was when the frame for merchant’s house was completed and each class was able to sit inside for a photo opportunity.
