Our School Council meets several times each term. Two representatives, are elected by each class (Year 2 and above). All representatives serve for one school year.
The Council elects a Chair and a Secretary and are assisted by two members of staff. The school Senior Leadership Team (SLT) bring items to the meetings for the Council to discuss and all the representatives are encouraged to bring suggestions from their classmates for improvements to the school. The representatives carry out pupil voice surveys with their class as well as collecting suggestions for future charities and fundraising ideas.
In line with the school Behaviour Policy, the School Council chooses 3 charities each term- one national, one international and one local to raise funds for.
For the Autumn term, 2016, the children chose to support:
Local- Herts Air Ambulance
National- Cancer Research UK
