Welcome to St Helen's School website

Welcome to St Helen’s CE Primary School

A very warm welcome to St Helen’s Church of England Primary School, where every child is valued, nurtured, and inspired to flourish.

Our Christian values of Perseverance, Wisdom, Truth, Kindness, Respect, and Community are embedded in everything we do. They help to guide our learning, our relationships and the way we care for each other every single day.

We believe every child holds great potential. We provide a nurturing, inclusive environment where children thrive academically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially. We celebrate diversity and welcome families from all backgrounds.

At the heart of our school is a deep belief in the power of community. We work in close partnership with parents, carers, the church, and the wider community to create a learning environment where children feel safe, confident, and happy.

Our broad curriculum fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. Beyond the classroom, children enjoy a wide range of extracurricular clubs and helping them discover new interests and build confidence. Whether it’s sports, music, or art, there is something for everyone to enjoy and excel in. We use our extensive grounds for Forest School and the OPAL play scheme to allow children to learn to take risks in a safe environment, helping them to build confidence in themselves and the world around them.

Education at St Helen’s goes beyond academics. We focus on building character, resilience, and compassion. Children are encouraged to persevere, act with kindness, seek truth, and lead with wisdom. We teach respect, celebrate differences, and promote positive contributions to the world.

We are incredibly proud of our pupils — of their achievements, their kindness and their unwavering spirit. It is a privilege to walk alongside them as they grow into confident, capable, and caring individuals who are ready to make a difference.

Thank you for visiting our website. The best way to experience our school is to come and see us. To arrange a visit, please contact the school office on 01582 832106 or email admin@sthelens.herts.sch.uk.

We look forward to welcoming you to St Helen’s.
