Loving Learning, Loving God, Loving Our Neighbour

Friends of St Helen's School

The purpose of the Friends of St Helen’s School (‘FOSH’) is to raise funds for the school to provide educational support for the children. It also acts as a useful network for parents. As a new parent/carer you are automatically a member of Friends and are eligible each year for election onto a lively and energetic committee, which plans for the year ahead. There is always a full and interesting programme of events and activities each year for both children and parents/carers.

Chair – Sam Blackmore-Maisie's mum

Treasurer – Amy Gardiner-Hal's mum

Secretary – Suzanne Steadman-Oliver and Harry's mum

Friends are always looking for new committee members or volunteers to lead or assist in their fundraising events. If you don’t want to be involved in an event there are still lots of things you can do to help Friends. Please contact one of the committee members or your class reps for more information.

This is so easy to set up and every time you buy online from one of their many participating retailers the school gets a percentage commission at no extra cost to you. Just register here  and you are ready to go. You can even set donation reminders up on your computer so you don’t miss out.

Don’t forget to sign up to our Facebook page to keep up to date on what is going on.

Hawaiian Luau Quiz Night - Friday, 15th March 2019

Why not form a team of up to 8 people and enter the Friends of St Helens Hawaiian themed Quiz Night on Friday 15 March.  With a licensed bar and disco too, past quiz nights have proven to be heaps of fun.  Every penny made from this event goes towards St Helens School, so find yourself an Hawaiian shirt or grass skirt and join in the fun!  To enter a team costs £40.00 (£5 each of you're a team of 8) and more information can be found on the attached poster and booking form.  If you aren't able to form a team of 8, don't be put off, contact us and if you would like to be part of a larger team we will help you to join with another smaller team.  For further information contact Jeanette Dedman via email at allenjeanette@rocketmail.com.  Don’t miss out, book by Friday 15 February.
