Welcome to St Helen's School website

Welcome,

Set in beautiful grounds, St Helen’s is a school that has love at its centre. A recent visitor to the school told us, ‘love oozes from your walls’ and that is exactly what we want for all our families. Our vision statement is from Hebrews 6:10 (NIV)

“God will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.’

We explain this to our children by telling them:

‘We work together to understand, show and share God’s love. Adults and children act with honesty and kindness, appreciate each other’s differences and love their neighbours. We strive to approach all learning with a positive attitude, a sense of collaboration and a desire to achieve.’

These sentiments are at the centre of everything we do. In December 2018 Ofsted described us as, 'a calm, welcoming and vibrant community .... where pupils are proud to serve their peers.' We very much like to think of ourselves as a village school at the centre of our community.

Although St Helen’s is a Church of England school, we are here to serve families of all faiths and none. We are a values led school and our values of perseverance, respect, community, wisdom, kindness and truth will give children the skills they need for life.

The best way to find out about our school is to come and see us. To arrange a visit please contact the school office on 01582 832106 or email admin@sthelens.herts.sch.uk.

Best wishes,

Our School PRayer

Dear God

Thank you for helping us to build friendships and to show love to our neighbours.
Thank for all the gifts that you have given us.
Thank you for our school family, both the children and adults.

Help us to be understanding towards others.
Help us to be kind and truthful.
Help us to persevere with our learning to do the best we can.

Bless St Helen’s and our village with your love.

Amen
